Is your site ready to be cited by AI?

Assess structured data, entity signals, and machine readability — signals that influence whether generative systems can interpret and use your content.

Is this your website?
  • Find out whether AI crawlers are allowed in at all
  • See whether your content states who wrote it and on what basis
  • Get the structured-data gaps that stop a machine reading your page

Check a page for AI readiness

Enter a URL and see which signals an answer engine can read — and which are missing.

AI crawler access

Reads your robots.txt and the page’s robots directives for GPTBot and Google-Extended — blocked crawlers cannot cite you.

Structured data

Parses JSON-LD and scores the core identity types, breadcrumbs, FAQ markup and sameAs links. This is the heaviest single factor in the result.

Attribution signals

Checks whether articles name an author and a publisher — what a citing system needs to attribute a claim.

Evidence and answerability

Looks for links to sources and for content shaped as an answer rather than a brochure.

Does this measure whether AI actually cites me?
No. It checks the signals that make citation possible: crawler access, structured data, attribution, evidence. Whether a given system cites you is not observable from your page.
Which structured-data formats are read?
JSON-LD. Microdata and RDFa are not parsed, so mark up in JSON-LD if you want it counted.
Does blocking GPTBot fail the check?
It is reported as a finding, because a blocked crawler cannot cite the page. If keeping AI crawlers out is deliberate, treat that finding as answered.
How does this relate to the SEO check?
The SEO check covers classic on-page hygiene. This one covers what a generative system needs in order to read, attribute and reuse your content.

Every check runs on our servers: you provide a public URL, there is nothing to install, and pages are rendered with JavaScript first so single-page apps are read the same way a browser reads them. Each result gets a permanent link you can share. On a website you have claimed, findings become tracked issues, and result pages offer AI summaries and developer guidance on plans that include them.
