What is a good AIM score?
AIM is a maturity indicator, not a pass mark. Use it to compare a page against itself over time; the error count is the number to drive to zero.
Does a clean WAVE result mean the page is compliant?
No. WAVE detects what a machine can detect. Keyboard operation, focus order and whether alt text is actually meaningful still need a human review.
How does this differ from the PhpAlly check?
WAVE is an external service with an AIM score and contrast analysis. PhpAlly runs on our own servers, covers 37 markup rules and costs much less per run.
Can I check a page behind a login?
No. WAVE has to reach the page itself, so it must be publicly available.

Every check runs on our servers: you provide a public URL, there is nothing to install, and pages are rendered with JavaScript first so single-page apps are read the same way a browser reads them. Each result gets a permanent link you can share. On a website you have claimed, findings become tracked issues, and result pages offer AI summaries and developer guidance on plans that include them.
